Role Overview



Urgent Care Centre is seeking an experienced

Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)

to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to those presenting with a range of urgent and minor illness and injury presentations.

This role is ideally suited to an autonomous, confident clinician with a strong background in

minor injuries

.

Key Responsibilities



Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients presenting to the UCC. Manage

minor injuries

cases independently, including:

X-ray interpretation

Plastering / splinting

Suturing / wound management

Soft tissue injuries and musculoskeletal presentations

Manage a range of

minor illness

presentations. Undertake appropriate investigations and prescribe medications as an independent prescriber. Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Participate in clinical governance, audit, and service development activities.

Essential Requirements



Registered Nurse, Paramedic, or Allied Health Professional with MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent experience). Current registration with the relevant professional body (NMC / HCPC). Independent prescribing qualification (V300). Proven experience in an urgent care, emergency department, or minor injuries setting. Competent in

X-ray interpretation, plastering, and suturing

minor injuries experience is essential

. Excellent communication and decision-making skills. Able to work

7 days per week on a rota basis between 08:00 - 20:00

.

Desirable Skills / Experience



Previous experience working within a UCC, MIU, or Emergency Department. Evidence of continued professional development. Familiarity with electronic patient record systems.
