We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Fosse Way.



Practice Plus Group are delighted to have been awarded the healthcare contract for HMP Fosse Way, Category C resettlement prison in Leicester from 1st July 2025.



HMP Fosse Way opened in May 2023. Its state of the art design and facilities offer a secure environment to provide skills and qualifications to the men, enabling them to secure meaningful employment on release with the aim of reducing reoffending rates.


Salary





This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 60,000 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing





As a Advanced Clinical Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will


Demonstrate judgement in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patient problems Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team, This multi-disciplinary team is made up of a variety of
registered and non-registered professionals including; mental health, and substance misuse practitioners
You will act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining
professional standards at all times
Supporting senior clinicians on site you will be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients As a clinical expert in your field, you will work with the team to ensure; patient safety, the management of complex cases and ensure the most up to date treatment methodology is applied to patient care.

Qualifications required:


Registered Nurse - Adult Mental Health with current NMC or Registered Paramedic with current HCPC Independent/supplementary prescriber qualification MSc in Advanced Practice Experience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner following best practice
guidance

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
