The Renal service at UHNM provides treatment over three sites:
Stoke, Stafford and Leighton. The ACP role covers the Haemodialysis centre at RSUH as well as the two Satellite Units in Staffordshire and Cheshire, and a 32 bedded inpatient Renal ward. We also have Outpatient teams that the ACP's support with; this includes Home Therapies, Transplant and AKCC,
The Renal ACP role will support with delivering services across all three sites. Knowledge and experience in Haemodialysis and Peritoneal dialysis is essential. Rotation across all modalities is a core element of the role as well as supporting on the inpatient ward and triaging the acute referrals.
There is also the opportunity to enhance clinical skills with line insertions following training.
The ACP team also have an allocated nurse led clinic
Health assessment and Non Medical Prescribing are essential for this role.
