We would welcome applications from qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioners of all backgrounds, including, but not limited to Nursing, Pharmacy and Paramedicine.
This is a
patient-facing role
, ideal for an experienced clinician with an
independent prescribing qualification
who is confident in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of minor illnesses autonomously.
You'll be working closely with our multidisciplinary team, providing
on-the-day care
to patients with presentations such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin conditions, ear and eye complaints, gastrointestinal issues, and minor musculoskeletal problems. You will play a
key role in improving access to care, reducing demand on GP appointments, and supporting patients in managing their conditions effectively.
This role is ideal for an
experienced prescribing pharmacist, nurse or paramedic
with a background in primary care, urgent care, or community pharmacy who is confident in managing undifferentiated presentations in a supportive, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver
same-day consultations
(face-to-face and telephone) for patients presenting with
minor ailments and acute conditions
Act as an
Independent Prescriber
, managing conditions such as:
URTIs and sore throats
UTIs
Skin conditions (e.g., rashes, eczema, infections)
Minor eye, ear, and musculoskeletal complaints
Hay fever, allergies, and bites
Perform clinical assessments, make differential diagnoses, and initiate appropriate treatment or onward referral
Provide
self-care advice and health promotion
Request and interpret relevant pathology and diagnostic tests
Safely manage and document prescribing activity in accordance with national and local guidelines
Support the wider clinical team by helping reduce demand on GP appointments through effective
minor illness triage and management
Participate in clinical meetings and quality improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to QOF and PCN service targets

Essential Requirements
Professional registration
Independent Prescribing qualification
Minimum
1 year experience
in a general practice or primary care setting
Experience in managing
minor ailments independently
Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
Full UK driving licence
and access to own vehicle
