Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated

Electrical Improver

to join our team. This role involves assisting qualified electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong but not yet fully complete electrical knowledge base, and experience with hand and power tools. In addition to working as part of a team, the successful applicant must be capable of working without supervision when required and may often be sent to carry out jobs independently. This position offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills within a professional environment and gain valuable industry experience.

A Van will be provided for, after a 1 month trial period.

Duties

Assist electricians in installing wiring, conduits, and electrical components according to specifications Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and wire strippers to prepare and connect electrical parts Operate power tools safely for drilling, cutting, and fixing components in place Support the testing and inspection of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards Help with the maintenance and repair of existing electrical installations Follow health and safety procedures at all times to minimise risks on-site Maintain organised work areas and ensure all tools are used responsibly and stored correctly Work independently on assigned tasks and attend solo jobs when required

Experience

A strong -- but not fully complete -- set of electrical knowledge is required, with a willingness to keep developing skills Full UK drivers licence Previous experience working with hand tools and power tools in an electrical environment is preferred Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to electrical work is advantageous Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently without supervision when needed A recognised qualification or apprenticeship in electrical installation or maintenance would be beneficial but is not mandatory
