Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our forward-thinking GP surgery. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality patient care and requires a strong foundation in clinical practice, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of anatomy, patient assessment, prescribing, and patient care protocols.

Duties

As an ANP or ACP at Gordon Street Surgery, your responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their healthcare needs Developing and implementing individualised care plans in collaboration with patients and their families Prescribing medications and monitoring patients for adverse reactions or side effects Providing education and support to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options Ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting results to guide clinical decision-making Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care delivery Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards

Experience

The successful candidate will have:

Proven experience in a primary care setting within a similar role In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care Demonstrated competence in prescribing practices Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and colleagues alike A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in healthcare
