Are you an experienced and compassionate Advanced Nurse Practitioner looking to make a real impact in primary care? We are a large friendly, forward-thinking training practice committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care -- and we're looking for an ANP to join our growing multidisciplinary team.
The role is initially a fixed term one-year maternity cover, however due to our growing list size and change in the make-up of our team it is likely that this will convert to a permanent position.
We are a VISION and docman practice and use "ENGAGE Consult" for our online appointment system. We participate in NHS Lanarkshire PCIP initiatives including hosting pharmacy, occupational therapy, community link worker and primary care mental health nurse. We undertake advanced workflow optimisation to reduce administrative workload for clinicians.
About the Role:
As an ANP in our practice, you'll work alongside another full time experienced ANP and play a key role in managing acute, minor illness, and chronic disease presentations. You'll work autonomously and as part of a supportive clinical team of GPs, GP registrars, FY2 doctors and practice nurses. We also have a significant administration team who provide support to the role. Together we make up 45 practitioners or administrators and you would join a respectful, well organised and communicative team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of clinical presentations
Provide evidence-based care and prescribe independently
Undertake home visits and support long-term condition management
Contribute to practice development and quality improvement initiatives
Contribute to our practice education program (GP training, FY2 training and medical student practice)
Essentials:
Registered Nurse with NMC pin
MSc/Postgrad Diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent)
Independent Prescriber
Desirables
Primary care experience (not essential as our previous advanced nurse practitioners have transitioned well from a non-primary care back ground)
Ability to consult with patients across the life spectrum (from age 2)
Other Benefits Include
Pro Rata equivalent of 7 weeks AL (inc public holidays) plus 1 week study leave. Any holidays already booked will be honoured.
Ample free parking.
Sick pay is 3 months full pay, 3 months half pay.

All staff are involved in excellent team working and we collaborate closely to deliver a happy, thriving work environment.
