Well-established and supportive training practice in Halifax requires an experienced Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner for a 4-month contract (4 days per week) to cover a planned sabbatical.

You will work as part of a friendly and experienced clinical team consisting of GPs, ANPs, practice nurses, HCAs and excellent administrative support.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Face-to-face and telephone consultations (approx. 12-15 contacts per day) Full range of acute and minor illness presentations Chronic disease management (diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension, CHD, etc.) Prescribing in accordance with practice protocols Home visits when required (shared rota - usually 1-3 per week) Clinical administration and referrals

Requirements

MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent RCN-accredited route) Independent Prescriber (V300) Current NMC registration with no restrictions Minimum 2 years recent experience working as an ANP in UK primary care Excellent communication and time-management skills Right to work in the UK
