Are you currently an ANP working in general practice?
Heacham Group Practice is a 2 partner training practice in Heacham with a branch surgery in Snettisham. The surgery provides excellent quality health care for its 7600 patients. We are looking for a full or part-time advanced nurse practitioner to join our existing professional and friendly team. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced nurse who will embrace the challenge of this dynamic and interesting role. The position includes telephone triage, working with the duty GP and holding your own clinics.
You will be supported by a multi-skilled team of clinical and non-clinical staff, working together to provide high quality, care to our patients.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
Delivering a high standard of patient care, using advanced, autonomous clinical skills and a broad in-depth theoretical knowledge-base.
Assessing, diagnosing and treating patients' with both minor and complex needs, initiating referrals as appropriate and planning clinical care accordingly.
Performing safe triage of patients when necessary via telephone or face to face.
Prescribing medication appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and practice protocols, and within scope of practice.
Providing information and advice on prescribed or over-the-counter medication on medication regimens, side-effects and interactions.
Prioritising health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care.
Supporting patients to adopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestyles, and apply principles of self-care where appropriate.
Providing leadership, education and training to other healthcare professionals and staff.

About the Candidate
To be considered for this position, the successful candidate will:
Previous experience of working in general practice.
Knowledge of SystmOne are desirable.
Hold a recognised ANP qualification.
Have the relevant master/degree qualifications or equivalent.
Hold an independent prescriber qualification.
Hold current registration with the NMC.
Be able to work with a high degree of autonomy and have sound clinical reasoning and decision making.
Have excellent communication skills.
