We have an exciting opportunity for a Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our ANP team at HMP Pentonville, a

category B

Prison located in

London.

HMP Pentonville is a male prison that has a capacity for 1200 inmates, it is a remand prison for inmates awaiting trial. Well situated in London and is 10 minutes from Kings Cross station. Free parking.



Lots of scope for progression, substance misuse training with good Regional support for the substance misuse area, various opportunities if you are interested in a specific subject and PPG will support you with the training.

Hours

37.5 hours a week - Shift patterns will vary but 7.30am-3.30pm or 7.30am-5.30pm, potentially up to 3 long days a week. Will confirm by GP at interview stage. Long term this role will involve doing reception in the evenings, until 9pm.

Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 68680per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As a Advanced Nurse Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will


Need expert clinical skills and demonstrate judgement in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patient problems. You will provide clinical leadership for the mental health team. This multi-disciplinary team is made up of a variety of registered and non-registered professionals including; mental health, and substance misuse practitioners. You will act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times. Supporting senior clinicians on site you will be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients. As a clinical expert in your field, you will work with the team to ensure; patient safety, the management of complex cases and ensure the most up to date treatment methodology is applied to patient care.

Qualifications

Registered professional with current registration (NMC, HCPC) Evidence of Continued Professional Development Masters in Advanced Practice or equivalent Recognised prescribing qualification or Substance Misuse knowledge Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
