We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Nurse Practitioner/ Paramedic Practitioner to expand our healthcare team for 4-8 sessions per week.
Our clinical team consists of 2 partner GP's, 2 salaried GP's, 1 ANP, 3 Practice nurses, 1 health care assistant and a phlebotomist.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive patient care, perform physical examinations, and assist in diagnosing and managing a variety of medical conditions. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, delivering high-quality healthcare services while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The Nurse Practitioner/paramedic practitioner will play a vital role in ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert clinical practice and compassionate care.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patient health status
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses in patients of all ages
Administer injections, medications, and treatments following aseptic techniques
Perform medical procedures such as suturing, wound care, and other minor interventions
Utilise medical terminology accurately for documentation and communication
Provide triage services to prioritise patient care based on severity of condition
Educate patients on health management, medication use, and preventive care strategies
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques
Drive between different healthcare facilities or clinics as required for patient appointments or outreach programmes
Skills
Proven experience administering injections and performing physical examinations
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
Demonstrated ability to provide effective patient care in diverse clinical settings
Critical care experience and hospital background are highly desirable
Skilled in triage assessment to determine urgency of medical needs
Ability to operate within high-pressure environments with professionalism and compassion
Excellent communication skills for clear documentation and patient interactions
Valid driving licence for transportation between healthcare sites or community outreach activities
Physical capability for heavy lifting when required during certain procedures or equipment handling
