We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber & Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, practical experience with various tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The ideal applicant will possess excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Also to be proficient in general plumbing and for bathroom installations.
Duties
Install, service, and repair heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and associated pipework.
Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance.
Diagnose faults accurately and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing techniques to complete tasks efficiently.
Perform heavy lifting when handling equipment or materials safely.
Carry out carpentry tasks related to system installation or repair work.
Read technical drawings and mechanical schematics to guide installations and repairs.
Maintain detailed records of work completed and parts used for each job.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Assist with assembly of heating units or related components as required.
Requirements
Proven experience in heating system installation, maintenance, or repair.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly techniques.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to heating systems and associated equipment.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installations or repairs.
Valid clean driving licence suitable for driving duties.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in plumbing, heating engineering, or related fields are desirable with a Gas safe registration preferred.
