Job Description

An extremely busy principal/main contractor, based in Cumbernauld, with sites throughout Central Scotland are seeking an experienced and reliable plumber/heating engineer to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating and plumbing systems. This role requires an individual who can effectively lead projects, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal performance of equipment.

Responsibilities

Attend site/s as required to carry out maintenance tasks on heating/plumbing systems Install, maintain, and repair commercial heating or plumbing systems in residential, industrial and commercial settings. Diagnose faults in equipment using schematics and technical manuals. Perform necessary repairs on equipment where necessary. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management. Provide certifications on completions. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and educating them about system operations.

Skills

Extensive mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, heating systems and components. Possess a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude in delivering quality work. Experience in installing and maintaining various types of plumbing and heating equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and quality of work. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members alike. Be capable of working with minimal oversight but must be able to follow directions closely.
