The Safeguarding Adults Service within the Department of Adult Social Care, Health and Housing is looking to recruit an Advanced Practitioner to help lead and deliver frontline practice. You must have a CQSW/CSS/DIPSW/Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work or equivalent and hold a current driving licence (unless a disability prevents this).
We are looking for someone passionate about social work and who holds the belief that promoting rights underpins good practice. Suitable candidates will understand The Human Rights Act 1998 and its impact on work with adults. Applicants will be able to evidence how they apply safeguarding principles as well as demonstrate approaches to practice that enable people who are experiencing, or who are at risk of, abuse or neglect to maintain self-determination. Significant experience of applying the Mental Capacity Act 2005 will be essential.
As an Advanced Practitioner you will model excellent practice and be a leading expert resource for Newly Qualified Social Workers, Social Workers and Experienced Social Workers within the Safeguarding Adults Service. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build successful working relationships with all who come into contact with the service. In return you will receive regular support and supervision, access to CPD activities, and flexible working conditions to help manage work-life and personal-life commitments.
We welcome applications from people already practicing as an Advanced Practitioner who may be looking to broaden their experience in adult safeguarding, as well as Experienced Social Workers who may be looking to take the next step in their career. All candidates must be registered with Social Work England.
