About the Post:





This is an exciting time to join Barnsley Children and Family Social Care. Working in partnership to achieve better outcomes for our most vulnerable children, we recognise the key position that Advanced Practitioners hold in our teams. We're looking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and committed professional Advanced Practitioner to join our Assessment Service.



We are looking for someone with passion and drive to improve the outcomes and lived experience of children within Barnsley. You will be able to work at pace to ensure decision making is timely. You will know what good looks like and will be confident in working within a performance management framework which supports good outcomes for children.

A key role within our teams, Advanced Practitioners have a varied balance of;



Working alongside our Practice Development Hub to deliver our Social Work Academy offer, supporting and mentoring our cohort of Newly Qualified Social Workers through their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment Working alongside the team manager to drive best practice, supporting learning and development within the team. You will be a qualified social worker and registered with Social Work England You will be self motivated and innovative in your intervention with families You will have experience of working in statutory children's social work, of driving plans for our most vulnerable children within the child protection and court arena You will be committed to supporting and developing teams and workers, with experience of mentoring students, NQSW's or colleagues In return we offer:
