Grade 9- Pay - 54,267 to 58,461 per annum subject to final confirmation with an additional Market Supplement (MS) of 4,000

The London Borough of Havering is looking to recruit an Advanced Practitioner (MASH) to review all safeguarding contacts and be responsible alongside the MASH Team Manager for determining the right service and the right framework to meet the needs of children and families.


If successful in your application for the role of Advanced Practitioner, London Borough of Havering, you will/will be:


Directly manage and supervise a small number of social workers with a caseload of complex contacts and referrals. Ensuring that all supervision and performance reviews are completed within the Havering supervision policy. Support team manager in maintaining and developing high professional standards across the team. Responsible for providing clear RAG rating decision at the initial point of contact informed by the agreed threshold decision document and outlining appropriate screening actions. Effectively review and analyse information provided around past history and current events and how this impact on the child's wellbeing to determine the appropriate outcome for intervention to meet the family's needs. Ensure that families receive a timely response in accordance with agreed MASH timeframes. To contribute to the daily MASH partnership meetings and LADO strategy meetings. To provide reflective training to partner agencies to improve quality of referrals and MASH functions. To undertake a range of quality assurance activity, including the multi-agency audits and dips audits. Support team development and recruitment process

About You



Qualifications:

CQSW, Degree in Social Work, CSS or equivalent. Current Social Work England registration is essential.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children and families, including statutory assessments and child protection work.

Skills:

Strong analytical and communication skills, ability to apply child care legislation, and proficiency in IT systems for case management.

Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of the Children Act 1989 & 2004, Working Together guidance, child development, and safeguarding frameworks. A valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
