Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Scaffold Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and dismantling scaffolding structures to ensure safe access for workers on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of various construction techniques and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople.

Duties

Construct and erect scaffolding systems according to safety regulations and project specifications. Dismantle scaffolding upon project completion while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, and other trades to coordinate scaffold needs for various tasks. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for fabrication and assembly of scaffolding components. Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding structures to ensure stability and safety compliance. Assist in the training of new team members on scaffold building techniques and safety practices. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, or general construction is essential. Familiarity with construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, or electrical work is advantageous. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to scaffold building. Strong understanding of fabrication processes related to scaffold materials. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety on site at all times.
