Overview

We are seeking a skilled Steel Detailer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of steel detailing and fabrication processes, and will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans that guide the construction of steel structures. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and architects to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

Duties

Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for steel structures using advanced software tools. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to gather requirements and ensure design integrity. Review shop drawings for accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Create accurate schematics that illustrate the assembly of steel components. Conduct site visits as necessary to assess project requirements and ensure alignment with design specifications. Modify existing designs based on feedback from project stakeholders. Maintain organised documentation of all drawings, revisions, and communications related to projects.

Skills

The successful candidate should possess the following skills:

Proficiency in software such as Advansed Steel and CAD Strong graphic design skills to enhance visual presentations of detailed drawings. Ability to interpret architectural plans and structural designs effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. Problem-solving abilities to address challenges that arise during the detailing process.
