works across the Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield districts of West Yorkshire, providing help for our communities to find and maintain housing through legal advice, employment support, learning opportunities, supported accommodation and local food bank provision
Advice Service Administrator - Part Time (25 hrs p/w) - Huddersfield
Location: Based in Huddersfield, expected to work 1 day p/w in Dewsbury
An exciting vacancy has arisen to offer administrative support to our Housing Solicitors and Advisers in our Huddersfield and Dewsbury Offices. We are looking to appoint an organised, positive person with great administrative skills and plenty of enthusiasm who will be part of our busy Advice Service Team.
This is an opportunity to work for a well-established locally based charity that helps households facing homelessness and food poverty. As an Administrator you will be a key part of our team, helping ensure everyone who contacts Fusion Housing feels welcomed, valued and supported.
The role includes:
Making client appointments
Arranging for interpreters
Preparation and proof reading of file notes and correspondence, telephone calls to clients and third-party contacts
Administration of case files and maintaining filing systems
Liaising with clients regarding enquiries on existing matters
Enquiries into financial eligibility of clients
Photocopying/scanning documents
Information gathering from third-parties e.g Land Registry checks, Tenancy Deposit checks and Housing Benefit entitlements
Providing basic information to clients as appropriate
The qualities we're looking for:
A positive, enthusiastic and approachable attitude with a sense of professional curiosity.
Someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, dynamic team where people support each other and are happy to get stuck in.
Ability to work on own initiative and enjoy the challenge of an ever-changing workload.
Good administrative skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Ability to plan and prioritise work effectively.
Experience of working directly with the public, perhaps in a Foodbank or Advice Service.
Ability to communicate with a wide range of people
