We have a vacancy for an Advisory Teacher to support children with DLD and other speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). You will work with children from Foundation Stage upwards across settings in the Borough. You will be joining a well-regarded team comprising:
3 other Advisory Teachers, 5 Specialist SEND Practitioners, 1 Speech and Language Therapist.
The post requires specialist knowledge and offers exciting opportunities to undertake varied and diverse work in early identification, training and support across schools and services in Blackburn with Darwen.
Our teachers respond to requests from schools to assess and support individual children with DLD and other SLCN, and provide a range of in-service training for school staff.
We are looking for an experienced teacher who:
is passionate about improving the lives of children with DLD and other SLCN,
enjoys collaborative working with speech and language therapists , schools and families
has excellent interpersonal and organisation skills
is creative and flexible
is able to work independently across the key stages
