Hours of work: 11.25 hours per week


Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)


(As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata)

Are you a nurturing, warm and friendly person with a genuine love for working with children? Westfield School are looking for an After School Club Assistant to join our wonderful team.




Westfield is a popular one-form entry village school, set in the countryside just outside of Hastings. We believe our role, as educators, is to prepare children to be successful in life. We aim to create well-rounded, self-motivated individuals who are healthy, confident, happy and achieve the best they can.




We are a good school, and we are looking for an energetic and caring After School Club assistant to help in our popular After School Club. We need someone who is enthusiastic and creative to deliver stimulating play opportunities and provide excellent childcare for our children.


Key tasks include:


Providing safe, creative play opportunities and preparing activities Providing full care for the children including preparing a healthy and balanced snack and supervising Providing positive and firm behaviour management where required and following the school's behaviour policy Maintaining a clean environment during the club and ensuring areas are tidied at the end of the day Greeting parents/guardians and dismissing children Take part in day-to-day administration tasks


A first aid qualification and food hygiene training is desirable, but not essential as training can be provided.
