About the Role

Highfields Academy is seeking a friendly, reliable After School Club Assistant to support its wraparound provision throughout 2026. This is a term time only position working either 3pm-5pm or 3pm-6pm. Job share options are available, or you can work all five afternoons per week.

This is a

either at Highfields Academy or directly within Vara Sports And Education depending on performance, suitability and school needs.

You will help run a safe, calm and engaging after school club environment where children feel supported at the end of the school day.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise children attending the after school club Lead and support a variety of enjoyable activities Create a calm, friendly and positive atmosphere Set up and tidy away resources Assist with snack arrangements where needed Help uphold behaviour expectations and daily routines Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents Follow safeguarding, health and safety and school policies at all times
