: Activity Leader / Sports & Creative Coach
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and energetic Activity Leader / Sports & Creative Coach to join our after-school team. In this role, you will deliver a mixture of sports sessions, group games, arts & crafts, LEGO activities, and other fun, engaging experiences for primary-aged children. Your goal will be to create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment where children can learn new skills, stay active, express creativity, and build confidence.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver varied afterschool activities including sports, group games, arts & crafts, LEGO building, and creative play.
Lead PE or activity-based sessions for children aged 4-11, encouraging participation, teamwork, and confidence.
Work Monday to Friday, 3:15 pm - 5:30 pm.
Run fun, interactive after-school clubs that promote physical activity, creativity, and social skills in a supportive environment.
Build positive relationships with children, being a role model who inspires enthusiasm, curiosity, and self-belief.
Foster an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere where every child feels valued and encouraged to join in.
Ensure sessions run safely and smoothly, following best practices for safeguarding and child supervision.
Bring fresh ideas and stay informed on new trends in children's activities, sports coaching, and creative play.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Experience in sports coaching or leading children's activities such as games, arts & crafts, or creative play.
Relevant activity, coaching, or childcare qualifications -- or strong practical experience.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate children of all ages.
A warm, friendly, and approachable personality that helps children feel supported and excited to participate.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups and encourage teamwork and creativity.
High energy and enthusiasm to match the pace and curiosity of young children.
A good sense of humour and a genuine passion for working with children.
Strong organisational skills for planning and delivering high-quality sessions.
