As a Manager, you will run in the day-to-day running of the Out of School Club, ensuring that children experience a safe, engaging, and enjoyable play environment. You will provide quality playcare while adhering to the club's policies and procedures while managing a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning, preparation, and delivery of creative and stimulating play opportunities in a safe and nurturing environment.
Ensure children's safety and well-being, including escorting them from school and handing them over to parents/carers securely.
Set up and organize play areas, including moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
Provide snacks and refreshments, maintaining high standards of hygiene, health, and safety.
Administer first aid when required.
Engage with children in planning activities, encouraging their involvement and creativity.
Club administration tasks as needed.
Foster strong relationships with parents and encourage their participation in club activities.
Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including staff, parents, and schools.
Manage a small team ensuring high standards are met.
Ensure the club environment remains healthy, safe, and secure at all times.
Adhere to the club's policies, procedures, and safeguarding guidelines.

Understanding of children's diverse needs and family dynamics.
Awareness of best practices in playcare and child development.
Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in a play setting.
Ability to create and facilitate fun, safe, and engaging play experiences.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Good judgment and problem-solving abilities.
Sufficient proficiency in English to ensure the safety and well-being of children (as per the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework).
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
Experience working in a play-based setting.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
A relevant qualification in childcare or a willingness to work towards one.
Managerial experience.
Current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
