Job Title: Lead Coach at Active Day Camps
Location: London (Kensington & Chelsea, Islington, Primrose Hill, Notting Hill)
Employment Type: Permanent / Term-time and School Holidays
Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm (After-School Clubs) + 8:30am - 5:30pm during School Holidays
Salary:
250.00 per week for Term Time, based on a 5 DAY WEEK
For holiday camps you would get 105.00 for 09:00 - 4:00pm per day of the school holidays
MUST BE AVAILABLE 5 TIMES PER WEEK DURING TERM TIME TO BE CONSIDER FOR THIS SPECIFIC SALARY AND ROLE - you will be placed at 1 site predominantly with the occasional business need requiring you to attend another school

Role Overview:
As a Lead Coach at Active Day Camps, you will take a proactive and energetic leadership role, managing groups of children in both after-school clubs and holiday camps. You will be responsible for delivering engaging activities, ensuring children's safety and wellbeing through rigorous safeguarding practices, and creating a fun, inclusive environment. Your enthusiasm and vigilance will help maintain the highest standards of care and activity delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise groups of children (10-20) during after-school clubs (3-6 pm term time) and holiday camps (full-day sessions)
Plan and deliver a variety of fun, safe, and age-appropriate activities, including sports, drama, arts & crafts, games, and structured play
Proactively safeguard and promote the welfare of all children, following Active Day Camps' safeguarding policies and procedures
Monitor children's behaviour and wellbeing, intervening appropriately and recording any incidents as per policy
Maintain a safe environment, adhering strictly to health & safety and safeguarding guidelines
Ensure compliance with OFSTED and company documentation standards, including accident and incident reports
Collaborate with other staff to deliver a smooth, well-organized camp or club experience
Actively engage with children to motivate and inspire participation and a positive attitude towards physical activity and creativity
Reflect on activities to improve delivery and engagement
Be flexible and adaptable to meet the evolving needs of children and camp/club schedules
Person Specification:
Energetic, proactive, and passionate about working with children
Confident in managing and leading groups independently
Committed to safeguarding and child protection at all times
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable and punctual, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
Experience working with children in sports, coaching, arts, drama, or after-school settings preferred
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment
UK/EU citizenship with continuous residence in the EU for the past 3 years (to meet regulatory requirements)
Available Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm during term time, and 8:30am - 5:30pm School Holidays
