Range between NMW and 13.24 per (dependant on qualifications and experience)

Hours required:

3:00pm - 6:00pm - Term-time

Monday - Thursday (Term-time only - 38 weeks)

The Trustees and Governing Body are seeking to appoint an EYFS After-School Club Playworker to join our dedicated, supportive and friendly staff, committed to achieving the highest standards, to start Tuesday 02 September, 2025.

Park Road Academy Primary school is a medium sized school, set in pleasant surroundings.

The successful candidate will:



have an

EYFS

Recognised

Level 2 or above

qualification. be at least 18 years of age have a current and relevant paediatric first aid certificate have experience with working with children Under 5 have high standards. be a strong team player. have excellent communication skills and be able to work positively with children, staff and parents. have energy and enthusiasm.

As an EYFS Playworker:-



Main duties include:



To assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment for all children with a particular emphasis on activities suitable for 3-5 year olds. To implement activities which encourage social, communication and language interaction. To provide refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, nutrition, oral health and health and safety standards are met. To administer first aid when necessary. To consult with children and involve them in planning activities. To helping with club administration, including record keeping, ordering and purchasing materials and equipment, where necessary. To encourage child and parental involvement in the club and support. To facilitate good communication with all members of the club, parents, school and childcare and play related agencies. To attend meetings as appropriate To undertake appropriate and relevant training. To keep the work environment healthy, safe and secure. To carry out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities' framework. To work within agreed club policies and procedures including safeguarding, behaviour management, Health and Safety To take shared responsibility for the care, maintenance and security of all equipment and toys within the environment. To deal with all confidential matters with tact and discretion To help children acquire self-help skills including dressing, feeding, toileting and an awareness of personal hygiene. To follow the school's intimate care policy. Such other duties, as may reasonably be required, within the grading of this post.

Additional Duties include:



Assist the Club lead and children in a club setting; groups and/or individuals Support all pupils, including those aged 3-5 and staff within the school
