The club will run one afternoon per week during term time and includes hands-on projects like building simple machines, exploring structures, and investigating how things work using creative problem-solving and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver weekly engineering-themed afterschool sessions (approx. 60 minutes)
Plan and prepare age-appropriate, hands-on activities
Set up and pack down materials before and after sessions
Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Engage and motivate children to explore STEM concepts
Communicate with school staff and parents as needed
Track attendance and contribute to short session reports
Requirements
Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
Interest or background in STEM (especially engineering, science, or design)
Excellent classroom or group management skills
Reliable, punctual, and highly organised
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo a check)
First Aid trained (preferred, but not essential - training can be provided)
Eligibility to work in the UK
