Afterschool Club Assistant

Fixed Term - 8 hours per week / 38 weeks per year

The Learning Academy Partnership has an exciting opportunity for an Afterschool Club Assistant to join our School Trust, based in Lifton Community Academy.

Lifton is a unique village school close to the Cornish border. Set within extensive grounds, including a forest school and outdoor classroom, Lifton offers a rich and vibrant curriculum that is distinctive to the community.

Working in close partnership with our families, we passionately believe that every child should be taught by expert, high quality teachers in an inspirational school that always puts children first. At Lifton, we believe that education is about more than lessons in a classroom - it's about sparking curiosity, building confidence, and giving every child the best possible start in life.

We are looking for someone to join our Afterschool Club team, working to create a safe, creative, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and flourish. This is an incredibly rewarding role, working alongside a passionate team to ensure every child feels valued, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential. You'll be involved in a variety of activities, from creative crafts to active games, helping to remove barriers to learning so every child can thrive.

Our ideal candidate will have experience supporting children in a play or educational setting, be confident in planning and organising a variety of activities. A Paediatric First Aid certificate and/or a food hygiene certificate would be an advantage, but not essential.

Our Trust is dedicated to building an authentic workforce, so if you are excited about this role but your past experience looks a little different to what we've identified, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may just be the perfect candidate! We are proud that we are a single organisation with a shared responsibility for all children, and one where you will feel professionally nourished through our extensive development practice and strong wellness offer.

Our School Trust is underpinned by our four core beliefs;
