Ecclesall Kids Club is looking for enthusiastic and friendly qualified Play workers, whilst our preference is for qualified and experienced candidates, we will consider candidates without qualifications who can demonstrate relevant childcare experience.
For qualified posts, as well as Play worker qualifications we welcome applications from candidates with qualifications in nursery nursing Teaching Assistants and Health and Social care. Candidates without qualifications but who have relevant experience will be offered training and development opportunities and the possibility of undertaking a level 2/3 qualification whilst with us.
We provide a fully funded package of training on appointment to gain certification in Safeguarding, full paediatric first aid, food hygiene and allergies and more. You will be funded and paid for your time to complete this training when you start with us.
We offer 28 days paid leave a year, rising to 29 days after one years service and 30 days after two years service. Our employees can also join our NEST pension scheme.
The post will be based at our club at Ecclesall Primary School
We have variable options available for working hours and can offer Part time aswell as our full time hours of 25 hours per week.
We are ideally looking for someone who can work ASC during the midweek days Tues- Thurs
A full-time post would be Breakfast and afterschool every day - 25 hours a week term time. We also offer flexible part time working opportunities including, just breakfast club, just afterschool club, part time mixed, job share and fixed term contracts for the right candidates. Please state with your CV application what hours you are looking for.
Hours: From 7.30am-9.00am (breakfast club) and 2.45pm - 6.15pm (afterschool) during Term Time. We also offer occasional half or full days non term time holiday club work (between 7.30am - 5.45pm) if the candidate wishes to undertake this. If candidates have children who are already attending school (age 4-11) they are able to bring their children to work with them in holiday club when they are working, free of charge.

Assist the team to prepare and provide creative and fun play opportunities
Support the team to ensure that refreshments are provided and meet the required standards of nutrition, hygiene, health and safety.
Ensure safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures are observed.
Work in line with other agreed policies and procedures.
Contribute to carrying out basic administration procedures.
Maintain a healthy, safe and secure working environment.

As we are an Early Years setting all candidates must have sufficient understanding and use of the English language to undertake the role to enable us to meet the requirements of the Statutory Early Years framework (2021).
