Job Overview
We're excited to launch a brand-new Afterschool Club in the heart of Thornhill Village. This new provision will offer a safe, fun and engaging space for primary school-aged children.
As a Play Assistant, you'll help deliver a variety of creative, active, and inclusive activities for children aged 4-11. From arts and crafts to games, you'll support children's play and development while ensuring their wellbeing and safety.
Responsibilities
Supervise and engage children in play-based activities Assist with preparing and serving snacks, accommodating dietary needs Promote positive behaviour and inclusive play Help set up and tidy away resources and equipment Ensure a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment Work collaboratively with the club leader and team
Skills
Experience working with children A caring, energetic, and patient approach Good communication and teamwork skills Awareness of safeguarding and child welfare A relevant childcare qualification is a plus, but not essential
Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 13.00-13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 12 per week
