We are looking for an
Agent
to join our infrastructure team in Wolverhampton, Midlands. The role's purpose will be primarily focused on earthworks and roadworks elements of our highways scheme.
What you'll do:
Develop and refine the technical documentation for the packages that you are responsible for. Respond to tender queries, review tender returns, and assist in choosing the most suitable subcontractor.
Generate Temporary Works design briefs, inspect temporary works, review and query designs, and produce/review red-line drawings.
Ensure you and your engineers raise requisitions for plant and materials in a timely and accurate manor.
Prepare and maintain 3-month and weekly 4-week lookaheads, resolve clashes, and align with the contract programme. Plan sequences, constraints and interfaces for your section; record progress and report against planned production.
Ensure your team keeps an accurate and detailed site record for all works. Communicate any change.
Understand design specifications and drawings, generate Inspection and Test Plans, manage materials approvals, ensure quality records are properly stored, and promptly close out Non-Conformance Records.
Be familiar with and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety/Environmental Policies and procedures.
What you'll bring to the role:
Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering.
Knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and common construction methodologies.
Working towards or in possession of Professional Industry Qualification (IEng, CEng etc.).
Knowledge and understanding of construction contracts (through experience and formal training).
Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental management (SMSTS).
Relevant CSCS Card.
