What you will be doing

You will be on a development pathway to prepare you to be a Digital Signal Processing Engineer and can expect to be involved in the following:

Working on a project to design, develop and deliver a Modem product to provide Satellite communications services for Helicopter terminals.

Contributing to detailed design and analysis activities through simulation and mathematical modelling of communication system elements.

Using and developing your skills to allow you to refine and implement your designs in Matlab/Simulink, VHDL or similar languages.

Implementing Digital Signal Processing algorithms on target platforms (e.g. FPGA devices), together with their integration and testing.

Working with Communication System Engineers and external stakeholders to learn through understanding and developing the key requirements and overall architecture for our technology development.

Be involved in the test of our product\'s technical capabilities within a representative system environment.

Supporting demonstrations of our products and technologies to (for example) internal stakeholders and external customers.

At the end of the 2 year development programme you will be fully equipped to be a key player as a Digital Signal Processing Engineer.

What we look for

To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate;

Educated to a degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study.

Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Digital Communications.

Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English).

A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation.

The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.

What you will need to apply

Degree type:

Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Science or related subjects.

Specific experience or interests:

A keen interest in telecommunications systems, their technologies and allied subjects such as Digital Signal Processing (DSP).

Knowledge and experience of some of the design trade-offs and implementation considerations (e.g. in VHDL for FPGA target devices) involved in modern digital communications systems.
