We are currently seeking a Senior Technician to support the Aggregate and Asphalt Testing at our Longwater Asphalt Plant, Norwich, Norfolk. This role will heavily support the upcoming A47 project.

You will report directly to the Technical Manager. A Business use Van will be provided to allow mobility to our customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

Interpretation of incoming specifications and meeting the required test rates. Supporting internal and external audits. Writing quality reports. Maintaining UKAS standards where appropriate. Validation of results. Operating the FPC control systems for all products, reporting issues and take appropriate action to maintain control or provide solutions/recommendations. Reporting and discuss internal material/product issues with the appropriate manager with a view to obtaining a satisfactory resolution.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Experience in a technical capacity for aggregates and asphalt concrete. The ability to put forward strong, rational arguments, and are able to demonstrate a rational decision-making process whilst under pressure. Reliable with a strong work ethic. A friendly, positive attitude. A commitment to health and safety. A conscientious approach to your work. Flexible approach to tasks and desire to work as part of a team.
