Reporting to the Head of Aggregates, the jobholder will have responsibility for the technical support required by the Aggregate Sales Team. The individual will work closely with the sales team to help place the material into suitable applications in the construction market.
They will anticipate and respond to the technical requests/needs of prospective and current customers and will supply the information as required. The role will assist in identifying improvements to our products and will work with the operations and technical teams to help evaluate, develop and trial these as directed by the Head of Aggregates.
In the event of a customer complaint, the incumbent will play a central role in bringing all departments together to investigate, identify root cause and agree actions to resolve the complaint, as well as communicate findings to all interested parties.
The jobholder will coordinate any external testing of aggregates and maintain a strong relationship with 3rd party labs
Supported by the Aggregates Team, the jobholder may represent the business at various industry events including technical seminars etc.
The jobholder will be expected to maintain awareness of any industry changes that may represent opportunities or challenges to the business in relation to asphalt, concrete, civils etc.
