The Role

We're looking for an Agricultural Design Engineer who loves to innovate, problem-solve, and get hands-on. One day you could be working on a CAD model, the next you might be helping to build and test a prototype on the shop floor or working with a machine in the field.

You'll play a key role in designing cutting-edge equipment that supports farmers, contractors, and forestry operators across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop innovative agricultural machinery and systems using CAD and other engineering tools. Create detailed engineering drawings and 3D models. Collaborate with colleagues, suppliers, and customers to solve technical challenges. Prototype, test, and refine designs for maximum performance and reliability. Ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and environmental standards. Produce technical documentation, including weld drawings, specifications, manuals, and parts diagrams. Support manufacturing processes, troubleshoot issues, and maintain quality control. Work closely with the lead designer to bring concept machines to manufacturable products.

What We're Looking For

Experience in agricultural machinery design or a related engineering field. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor). A practical understanding of agricultural operations and machinery. A problem solver's mindset with a passion for finding smart, effective solutions. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A willingness to innovate, learn, and get hands-on with your designs.
