At Sharrocks we specialise in Sales, Hire, Parts & Service of Groundcare & Agricultural Machinery. We work with industry leading manufactures supplying machinery to Local Authorities, Golf Clubs, Contractors, Landscapers, Estate Management and the Home Owner. We are main dealers for many of the world's largest brands including Case IH, Ransomes Jacobsen, Iseki, Stihl etc.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Parts Sales Advisor to join our established team. We are looking for an enthusiastic & self-motivated person to join our parts department. Someone with a general interest in agriculture or groundcare would be preferred.

The ideal candidate is someone with a basic mechanical knowledge and an ability to use their own initiative as you will be required to establish customers' needs for required parts through conversations, diagnosis & recommendations as appropriate.

Excellent verbal & written communication skills are required.

We require a flexible approach to the requirements of the parts department as you will be working as part of a team.

Responsibilities and Duties

Handle parts orders (over the trade counter, via telephone & email) for external customers Determine correct part numbers and select parts for orders received Liaising & maintaining relationships with suppliers - placing orders & chasing up pending orders Arrange for delivery or shipment of parts as required Help maintain orderly parts stock Ensure department cleanliness
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills (both verbal & written) ; be organised with an attention to detail ; have an ability to multitask ; be computer literate and have an interest in mechanics . Knowledge of diesel engines, agricultural or groundcare equipment would be a distinct advantage.

Hours of Work

Hours: 40 hours per week

Pattern: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm.
