Our Tax Technology team is dynamic and fast-paced team, offering ample scope for progression and the chance to make a significant impact on RSM nationally, with potential to influence on a global scale driving the digital transformation within the Tax business.


As a AI and Automation Architect in our Birmingham or London office, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced AI and automation solutions, deliver complex and wide-ranging technology projects, manage product delivery, and bringing fresh, innovative ideas to the team. In this role you will work directly with the Tax Technology Operations Lead to help drive the team in the strategic direction set by leadership through operational excellence, ensuring that key metrics are achieved. You will have the opportunity to work at all stages of solution development, from raw idea generation, through to concept refinement, development and finally the ultimate rollout to our client facing teams. At all times you will collaborate with our client facing teams to ensure the best possible service for our clients and RSM.


You'll make an impact by:

Leading the architecture and design of AI and automation solutions to address complex business challenges. Driving forward our ambitions for Agentic Process Automation and AI. Significantly expanding and enhancing existing automation and AI solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI and automation integration. Developing and implementing scalable AI models and algorithms. Overseeing the deployment and maintenance of AI systems and automation tools. Ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of AI and automation solutions. Building strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand their needs and drive successful AI initiatives. Staying informed on latest advancements in AI and automation technologies. Being a mentor and guide junior team members in AI and automation best practices.

Extensive experience in AI and automation architecture. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and R. Expertise in Automation Anywhere, Azure AI services, Agentic Process Automation, and AI agents. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically. Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the professional services industry. Good understanding of Tax compliance and advisory processes. Familiarity with data privacy and security standards
