An Air Compressor Service/ Installation Engineer is required for a rapidly expanding business with branches in Guildford, Surrey (HQ), Exeter, Devon & Crawley, West Sussex. This role will be based from our Exeter branch.

We are a leading supplier of compressed air systems across the UK. We have a solid team of staff who cover all areas of installation, servicing and maintenance of the equipment to all of their customers, which span across various industries including Industrial, Dental, Commercial, and Leisure, Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, to name a few.

Standard 40hrs per week on average, with flexibility on start time per as required and some late finishes as required. Overtime will be required at times, late evening, nights and weekends. Paid accordingly on top of the salary.

Working away will be required at times, hotels pre-arranged and paid for by the office, overnight bonus paid, plus all food.

Role and responsibilities of the Air Compress Service Engineer



Routine service and breakdown maintenance of air compressors and ancillary equipment.

Fault finding and diagnosing of issues of equipment and systems.

Carry out both mechanical and electrical repairs as required.

Report back to management on additional works that may be required.

Identifying and providing the customer with improvements, upgrades or general aftercare of products.

Completion of all job sheets using software on a mobile phone provided by the company.

Flexibility towards nationwide travel to customer sites when required.

On call will be required.

Pipework installations, Galv, Aluminium, Press fit, ABS, Copper etc

Carry out Written Scheme of Examination (training given)

Fluid transfer systems

Refrigeration (training given)

All jobs are scheduled by the planning team, so engineers have a forecast of jobs and location. Quite often the schedule with change due to unexpected works required to be done on a reactive basis.

To be successful in this role, the following skills and experience would be ideal, but some not essential as training will be given.



- Knowledge of pressure systems, for example: air compressors, vane, screw, piston, vacuum, steam.
- Apprentice trained background in plant maintenance, mechanical or equivalent not essential but advantageous.
- Be able to fault find and diagnose issues both mechanically and electrically
- Flexible approach towards nationwide travel when required
- Excellent communication and customer facing skills
