We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and extensive experience in HVAC systems, refrigeration, and property maintenance. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of air conditioning and HVAC equipment across various facilities. Candidates with construction background, service technician experience, and proficiency in schematics and HVAC design are highly preferred. A valid driver's license is required for this position. The successful applicant will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal operation of HVAC systems, contributing to the comfort and safety of our clients' properties.
Responsibilities
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and related mechanical equipment.
Troubleshoot HVAC/R systems using tools such as ohmmeters and diagnostic schematics to identify issues accurately.
Conduct equipment repairs including appliance repair, plumbing, welding, and other mechanical repairs necessary for system efficiency.
Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to facilitate proper installation and repairs.
Maintain property infrastructure by performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on HVAC systems.
Assist with field service operations including troubleshooting complex refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration units.
Ensure compliance with safety standards during all maintenance activities, including proper handling of refrigerants and other hazardous materials.
Document all service activities thoroughly for maintenance records and future reference.
Requirements
Proven experience in HVAC service technician roles with a solid understanding of HVAC/R systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, boiler operation, and appliance repair.
Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, and property maintenance.
Ability to read schematics and perform HVAC design tasks is highly desirable.
Experience working with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters and familiarity with equipment troubleshooting techniques.
Construction background or experience working in field service environments is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently under pressure.
Valid driver's license required for travel between sites.
Knowledge of safety protocols related to HVAC systems, refrigerants, ammonia handling, and general maintenance procedures is essential.
