As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a skilled Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join our friendly, professional team.

The Role



You'll be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining air conditioning and refrigeration systems, air handling units and chillers across a variety of commercial environments - including offices, nursing homes, schools, and manufacturing facilities.

As this is a field-based role, you'll be required to travel throughout the UK and work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities



Carry out routine maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Diagnose faults and perform repairs efficiently and effectively. Install and commission new equipment. Provide excellent customer service on-site and represent Mattair professionally. Complete job sheets, reports, and compliance documentation accurately and promptly.

What We're Looking For



To be successful in this role, you'll need the following qualifications and experience:

Minimum 5 years' experience working with a wide range of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including splits, VRF/VRV, air handling units, and chillers. Excellent fault-finding and practical engineering skills. Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to represent the company professionally at all times. Ability to complete electronic paperwork accurately and efficiently. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Flexible and adaptable approach to work, including willingness to work overtime when required. F-Gas certification (Category 1) and DBS clearance (to be arranged by us if necessary). Full UK driving licence.
