About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, JMC Aviation is currently recruiting for an Aircraft Painter to join their dynamic team.



The successful candidate will carry out aircraft surface preparation and painting tasks as part of a highly skilled maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and safety-driven environment where precision, teamwork, and quality are paramount.



Key Responsibilities


Maintain a safe working environment through adherence to quality, health, and safety standards Prepare and paint aircraft surfaces and components to the required specifications Sign off work on completion within the scope of individual approval Support and maintain effective communication within the shift/team Drive and operate vehicles, lifting equipment, and elevated work platforms within permit limits Contribute to process improvements within the department and wider engineering team Work flexibly across different areas within the scope of capability and approvals

Candidate Requirements

Essential:


Indentured Paint Finishing Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification Proven experience in aircraft surface preparation and painting tasks Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering data cards and manuals Understanding of COSHH regulations relevant to aviation paints and chemicals Good engineering hand skills and attention to detail Effective communication and teamwork abilities Flexibility to work shifts and in confined spaces (e.g. fuel tanks) Right to live and work in the UK

Desirable:


Familiarity with aviation documentation and engineering systems Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills PC literacy and experience using document management systems Leadership or mentoring experience within a team-based maintenance environment
