Airfield Wildlife Control Operative required to assist the management of wildlife for the purposes of preserving Air Safety at RAF Mildenhall
Operatives must patrol the site(s) by vehicle to identify, record and disperse birds/wildlife that may pose a hazard to Air Safety.
Duties will include application of non-lethal and lethal control measures, habitat monitoring, maintaining company logs and records and liaising with clients to minimise the risks to Aircraft.
This role is ideal for candidates with an interest in aviation or wildlife.
Candidates should be able to work unsupervised as well as part of a team.
RAF Mildenhall is a 24/7 station and this position will be shift work on a 4 on (2 days, 2 nights), 4 off pattern.
The ability to pass stringent security checks and obtain shotgun and firearms certificates is essential. Applicants must also be colour perception safe.
Previous experience in wildlife management is an advantage as is experience of working in Airport environments but full training will be given to the successful candidates.
