Airside Driver -Ambilift

Purpose:

As a member of the PRM Airside Driver Team, you will operate the Company's specialized vehicles on the airfield to transport passengers with reduced mobility (PRMs) between the aircraft and the terminal building, as well as from the terminal building to the aircraft. The range of vehicles includes Minibuses and Class 2 rigid heavy goods vehicles, for which comprehensive training and instruction will be provided. Additionally, you will be expected to assist PRMs onto the aircraft, ensuring their safe transit to their seats or into the ABM vehicles or terminal buildings, which requires the application of passenger and manual handling techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Complete the daily Vehicle Check Sheet, to maintain the operational reliability of the vehicle, reporting when necessary any vehicle defaults in line with the Vehicle Inspection procedure. Drive the Company vehicles ensuring that the vehicle is safe and secure at all times Operate the vehicle safely within close proximity to the aircraft using all safety systems of the vehicle Maintaining a clean and tidy vehicle at all times. Deliver or collect the passengers at the aircraft door and assist with the transfer into their seat or wheelchair through safe manual handling techniques. Complete Customer Care Agent (CCA) duties within the terminal when demand requires, this may include escorting passengers through the terminal/security and boarding flights or meeting arriving flights and assisting PRM's through to baggage reclaim. Ensure that the Allocator is updated on progress of jobs at all times using PDA's and Radio. Observe all Aberdeen airport airside driving requirements Promote a safe and secure environment at all times
