We are seeking a skilled Driver to join our team in Heathrow. In this role, you will play a crucial part in transporting animals safely while adhering to all regulations. Your contributions will support our mission of providing exceptional animal care during transit.

Responsibilities

Operate vehicles safely and efficiently for animal transportation Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness Communicate effectively with team members regarding transport schedules Assist with loading and unloading animals as needed Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inspections Build units / pallets to secure live animals in the aircraft hold Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients Collaborate with the team to improve operational efficiency. Land side delivery and collection service

Qualifications

Proven experience in driving and animal transportation Strong mechanical knowledge for vehicle maintenance Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork Ability to work flexible hours as required Previous warehouse experience is a plus. Experience and confidence to drive large vehicles including a HGV (no HGV licence required airside) Familiarity with delivery processes is advantageous.

Full job description

Animal Air Care requires an airside driver to transport a range of live animals from our airside facility directly to and from aircrafts at Heathrow. In the job you'll be tasked with the following:

Shifts - 4 on 4 off (12 hour shifts) weekends, public holidays (No nights)

You will be responsible for driving,

AIRSIDE

, an 5t Truck to and from the aircraft collecting loads and offloads of live animals Caring for the welfare needs of, dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, zoo animals and many more rare species Building palletised units to secure live animals in transit (Full training given) Driving landside to delivery and collect live animals from around the UK To collect and deliver live animals to and from our facility to the aircraft

YOU WILL DRIVE AIRSIDE, USING A FLEET OF LARGE AND SMALL VEHCILES*

The Candidate:

To be considered for the LIVE ANIMAL drivers' role you'll need to be able to demonstrate good attention to detail skills.
The ideal person for the Driver position would need the following:

Full manual driving licence -

must have:

Previous experience of driving a large array of different sizes vans and vehicles A good level of fitness - essential Able to understand and follow instructions.

Good

communication both written and verbal are

essential

Be able to provide your last 5 years history-

HMRC LETTER or PDF via HMRC app required

Clean DBS- No criminal record

Clean, Manual driving licence

Be prepared to undergo a UK criminal Check UK right to work Proof of National Insurance 21 years and over only
