Whether your role is to improve process efficiency, monitor aircraft movements or oversee safety measures, you'll be vital to the continuing smooth running of our airport.
Reporting to the Airside Safety Improvement Manager as a member of the Airside Standards & Assurance team, the post holder will be expected to support the development and implementation of the improvement programme. The primary focus of the role will be to identify, develop and deliver the safety improvement initiatives as determined by the Safety Improvement Team. These initiatives are to support the sustained reduction in the number of safety events through the implementation of identified workstreams and activities. These will be achieved through data analysis, improvement activity, stakeholder engagement and culture change.
Support and engage both internal and external stakeholders utilising existing forums (including but not restricted to: Below Wing AUC, Safety Stack, GHOST) and the creation of new forums where appropriate
Support the reduction of incidents across key focus areas and workstreams by driving proactive risk identification, promoting best practices, and enabling continuous improvement initiatives
Deputise for the Airside Safety Improvement Manager where appropriate
Responsible for delivery of key workstreams as identified by the Airside Safety Improvement Manager
Liaise with other areas within the Airside Operations directorate and the wider Team Heathrow to ensure consistency
Provides accurate reporting information arising from safety events and near misses to enable the development of proactive improvement plans
Good working knowledge of regulatory environment under which Heathrow operates, and practical application of relevant documentation, such as that produced by EASA and the CAA as well as DVLA and HSE
Ability to develop relationships across multiple stakeholders at all levels Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
Ability to formulate clear and concise documentation, reports, and presentations
Ideally be experienced in Airside Operations or other operational areas
Proven experience of stakeholder engagement in complex environments, ideally airside
Ability to hold and maintain an airside driving permit in line with CAP 790
