4 on 4 off 12-hour shifts working days, nights and weekends

THE ROLE:



We are seeking a proactive and skilled Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) Operator to join our fast-paced and rapidly expanding ARC team. In this exciting role, you will play a vital part in protecting people, property, and critical national infrastructure by monitoring, assessing, and responding to a wide range of security systems and emergency events.

The ideal candidate will bring technical confidence, strong situational awareness, and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple systems and communication channels. You will collaborate with multiple agencies, including police, fire, and emergency responders, ensuring that all incidents are handled swiftly, professionally, and in line with strict protocols.

Due to the location of the site, you must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle

Responsibilities:



Execute real-time monitoring of critical security, safety, and building-management systems across a multi-site corporate estate. Triage inbound alerts, alarms, and escalation requests, ensuring adherence to established response playbooks and incident-management protocols. Initiate and coordinate rapid escalations to security, facilities, crisis management, or external emergency services as required. Maintain continuous situational awareness and produce timely, accurate entries in incident and activity logs and external reporting in line with regulatory and legal requirements. Support centralised command-and-control operations during elevated threat scenarios, business disruptions, or crisis activations. Validate system health, conduct routine operational checks, and flag anomalies for engineering and maintenance follow-up. Provide first-line support to employees, contractors, and vendors engaging with security processes or access-control workflows Must be able to provide continuous, accurate operational support, investigation outputs, reporting, and process management to the ARC Manager.

Requirements:



Proven capability to operate in a high-tempo, high-reliability environment with strict procedural discipline. Strong situational judgment, pattern recognition, and risk-based decision-making. Ability to interpret technical data streams, CCTV visuals, and integrated security dashboards. Clear, concise communication skills suitable for cross-functional escalation and stakeholder engagement. High accuracy in documentation, with an emphasis on audit readiness and data integrity. Capacity to remain composed and mission-focused under duress, especially during critical events. Must be able to demonstrate capability in access control administration and credential life cycle management across a large geographically diverse operational estate Strong technical aptitude with the ability to operate multiple software and monitoring systems. High adherence to SLAs, response targets, and standardised operating procedures. Ability to remain calm, focused, and decisive in high-pressure situations. Three years + prior experience in an ARC/ SOC/ GSOC, security operations, emergency communications, or similar command-and-control environment is essential.

Desirable Skills/ Experience:



Excellent communication skills and confidence when dealing with internal teams and external agencies. Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. Willingness to support continuous improvement initiatives and technology-driven optimisation of ARC workflows as set out by ARC Manager. Prior law enforcement, military experience, or other disciplined operations in high reliability environments is desirable. Previous experience in a command & control centre operations for critical infrastructure or energy and utilities sector is desirable.
Full in-house training, mentoring and ongoing support will be given

LICENCES:



An SIA CCTV Operator license is required. Security Guarding or Door Supervisor is desirable
