We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality workmanship while meeting project deadlines. The Roofer will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings.
Responsibilities
Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and flat roofing products
Conduct repairs on existing roofs, ensuring proper sealing and waterproofing
Read and interpret schematics to
understand project specifications
Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for roofing tasks
Perform heavy lifting as required when handling roofing materials
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow on construction sites
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations
Assist in fabrication tasks as needed, including carpentry and masonry work
Requirements
Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and lead welding equipment
Capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 kg) regularly throughout the day
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Valid driver's licence is essential
