experienced and versatile Groundworkers

Key Responsibilities

Carry out a wide range of

groundwork activities

, including drainage, kerbing, slabbing, concreting, and ducting. Prepare and level sub-bases to specification, ensuring solid foundations for follow-on trades. Lay and finish

concrete, paving, and edgings

to a high standard. Assist with

excavation, backfilling, and reinstatement works

. Operate plant and equipment such as

dumpers, rollers, and small excavators

safely and efficiently. Read and work from

drawings and site levels

accurately. Maintain a

tidy, safe, and efficient working area

, following all site safety procedures. Work closely with supervisors and other trades to ensure the programme and quality standards are met.

Essential Requirements

Valid CSCS card.

Proven experience in a

varied groundwork role

. Skilled in using

hand and power tools

, with experience in

drainage, kerbing, and finishing works

. Capable of operating

dumpers and rollers

(with valid CPCS/NPORS tickets). Reliable, proactive, and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision.

Desirable

Additional

CPCS/NPORS tickets

(e.g. 360 Machine, Telehandler, Dumper, Roller). 5+ years' experience in groundwork, civil engineering, or hard landscaping. Experience working as part of a

small team or gang

on large-scale projects.
