Job Overview

We are seeking a part time, skilled BRIDAL Seamstress to join our team with Immediate effect.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience for sewing and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all gowns are altered to the highest standards. As a Seamstress, you will be responsible for working closely with our fitters to ensure alterations and/or customisations are completed to the best fit and finish possible, contributing to our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Alter existing bridal dresses to meet customer requirements, including resizing and style changes and additions. Operate sewing machines, steam iron and other equipment safely and effectively. Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly. Collaborate with team members to meet fitting deadlines while maintaining quality standards. We require 3 eight hours days, per week currently. But we these hours can be flexible if required for the right candidate.

Skills

Proficient in using various sewing machines and hand tools. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities. Ability to read notes and follow fitters pinning, and discuss the details of each job. Good time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Experienced in understanding of fabric types and their properties. Previous experience in Bridal garment construction or alterations is ESSENTIAL. Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 3-4 months

Pay: From 18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
