Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Progress Mentor to support children's developmental and educational needs within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience with early childhood education, and a genuine passion for mentoring young learners. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives through personalised guidance, behaviour management, and educational support across various subjects.

Responsibilities



Provide one-on-one mentoring to children, fostering their social, emotional, and academic growth Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and social skills Support physical education activities to encourage healthy development and motor skills Maintain clear communication with parents, teachers, and other professionals regarding each child's progress Create a nurturing environment that encourages confidence, independence, and lifelong learning The progress mentor will be expected to plan for their students individual learning needs and deliver this on a 1:1 basis. Small group activities may also be part of the role. A daily behaviour log will be completed and support with termly reports/feedback to referring school/ centre will be expected. You will work as part of a team but will need to be able to use your own initiative to help our students thrive.

Experience



Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential Knowledge of special education needs and experience with behaviour management techniques is highly desirable Background in tutoring, or applied behaviour analysis will be considered an advantage Proven ability to communicate effectively with children of various ages and background Demonstrated organisational skills for planning lessons and tracking developmental progress Previous mentoring or tutoring experience that showcases patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for child development A good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.

Additional Information



? Attendance at relevant training sessions, staff meetings, and safeguarding reviews will be required.

? A satisfactory enhanced DBS check will be required prior to employment, Safeguarding, prevent and GDPR training will be completed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 228.78 per week

Expected hours: No less than 18 per week
